We reject all commercial shortcuts, hand-stitching fine copper wire through thousands of micro-perforations and anchoring them permanently by twisting the metal flat against the back of the board. A scientist by profession, Inderjit brought the same precision and patience to his art in his own time, creating works of extraordinary delicacy that drew inspiration from India's classical traditions. Many of the motifs, techniques and inspirations that define Atelier Raul's work to this day trace directly back to him — his eye, his hand, and his belief that art made with wire and will could outlast time.
In 2026, after practising the craft himself alongside his father for years and building up a body of masterpieces, Inderjit's son Sandeep Arora founded Atelier Raul to take it beyond a private passion and into the hands of collectors worldwide. A graduate of two of India's leading business schools — IIFT and Symbiosis, Pune — with over 25 years of corporate leadership experience, Sandeep brought the same discipline that built his career to the task of formalising a lifetime of artistry: securing EPCH (Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts) membership, an RCMC registration, an Importer-Exporter Code (IEC) from the Government of India, and full compliance as a registered exporter — documenting every piece with proper provenance, and building the relationships that now carry Atelier Raul's work to Singapore, Europe, and beyond.
